Welcome to Everest Base Camp!
Our team is delighted to welcome you to the Mount Everest Leadership and Team Simulation as part of Term 1 of CLIMB. You've officially made it to base camp, where we've assembled all the tools you will need to prepare for your climb. We hope you and your team are excited to begin climbing. Please read on to important information, as well as technology requirements and support channels, for successfully completing this experience. It's important to explore base camp thoroughly before preparing to summit. |
Program Overview
The Mount Everest Leadership and Team Simulation will take about 90 minutes to complete. Prior to beginning the simulation, you must complete Module 2: Everest Simulation Introduction in your CLIMB Program Course (Term 1) and coordinate with your cohort team to attempt to summit Everest. We strongly encourage early and active outreach with your team members to schedule your climb. When climbing, you'll need to utilize an audio or audio-video conferencing tool to share information with your teammates in real time. While we've gathered nearly every resource you'll need here at base camp, you can expect to receive crucial communication from the HBS Online team via email early in Term 1. After receiving your login information, you will be able to access the platform and review your role materials. The simulation will open on Monday following the start of Term 1 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, at which point you and your team will be able to begin climbing. Please note that you will not be able to begin the simulation until it officially opens, even after receiving your login information. Please note that the Mount Everest Simulation is not located on the Course Platform. You will receive login information early in Term 1. After logging in, you will be able to view the Welcome Screen, Role Information, and Tutorial. The simulation will open on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, at which point full access will be available. |
